Navajo United Way, Inc. would like to recognize the contributions from employees with the Four Corners Power Plant, a component of the Arizona Public Service Corporation for their sincere and generous payroll deductions and annual contributions towards the efforts of human care non-profits that help Navajo Nation residents in need through the Navajo United Way, Inc.
Special recognition to Mr. Tommy Begay and Ms. Barb Earp for their past and continued support with the annual campaign fund drives. They have organized committees, counted figure results and helped to conduct smooth and successful employee campaign fund drives.
A supporter since 1989, the management of the Plant located on the Navajo Reservation has consistently included the Navajo United Way, Inc. in its support of local communities in which it produces energy.
Workers at Unit I, Unit II & Unit III, as well as those in all major divisions of the Plan; including Maintenance and Hauling make special efforts to annually learn about the service projects that Navajo United Way, Inc. supports and to become involved. Employees volunteer their time and skills to improve the facilities that serve people in need and are genuinely interested in our affiliates continued success.

The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA) was created in 1959 as an activity of the Navajo Nation to assist in providing modern utility services to the Navajo People. Initially it was concerned with providing electric service the Shiprock vicinity and over the years it has added natural gas, water, wastewater treatment and solar services for many areas throughout the Navajo Nation.
The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority is celebrating its 43rd anniversary and is moving forward to fulfill its mission to provide excellent service and quality products to its employees and customers that exceeds their expectations.
Long-time Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA) employee Larry Clashin is one of many contributors who believe in Navajo United Way, Inc.
Clashin, a Line Maintainer Journeyman at NTUA Shiprock District continues to pledge his contribution to Navajo United Way because he supports its mission is to help people.
He learned about Navajo United Way during efforts within NTUA to introduce the program to employees through company-wide presentations.
"We emphasize the importance of giving and sharing," said Georgia A. Ashley, NTUA Customer Service Coordinator. "The Navajo United Way philosophy of helping others is what our employees who contribute support wholeheartedly."
